Fake Ishq - Blogepisode 01 - The Meeting

I was replying to an email when suddenly I was distracted by some voice, a female voice, Excuse me, Can you please tell me whom to assign this issue? Actually I am a new joiner and training just over but still struggling with the process. She was standing just next to me, she was looking gorgeous in that Blue suit and white salwar. She was wearing bangles in both the hands, and I can hear that chan chan sound, whenever she was moving her hand to express herself. For a while I was just looking at her face, then I heard excuse me, excuse me, I felt that like we raise the TV volume from zero to 50... Please help me with this. She said again. yes, yes tell me, I said, and took her laptop and made the assignment. Thank-you so much, she replied, and left. But I can still feel her presence in the air. I couldn't take myself back from that moment. A ping from a colleague dragged me from that mirage and continue my BAU.

That day passed like other usual days. Next day morning I was all set for office and I was waiting for the cab call. I have to reach office by 10:30 and it's already 10:15 but no call from the driver. I got irritated and call the transport department for asking the reason for the delay. I was about to call and suddenly an unknown number flashed on the mobile screen. Hello, sir, this is Raju, the cab driver, I have reached the point, please come. I was about to shout at him but sense his hesitation. OK coming. I noticed a girl was sitting on the back seat with ear plug and moving her head. I opened the front door and adjusted te seat according to me.

I - What happened bhaiya, aaj late kun ho Gaye?. Cab driver - Sir, cab broke down. I - You should have informed me at least. Cab driver - sorry sir.

Unknown - Hi It was a familiar voice, I turned back, surprisingly, cuz she was the same girl. I - hello(hesitatingly) Unknown - how are you, Ravi. I - I am good, how are you? Sorry, I forgot you Name. Unknown - forgot, but I didn't tell you. Ha ha. Anu, my name is Anu. I - Hey, Anu. Nice meeting you. Anu - Thanks, and Thanks. I - why two times Thanks. Anu - For your help in the office. I - oh that, no problem. Then silence for some time. Don't know why but there was a smile on my face. I - Do you live nearby? Anu - Yes, in the 19th cross. Sharing 2bhk with my Friends. I - OK. Anu - since when you are working here? I - It's been 3.5 years. Anu - very Nice. Anu - This is my first company. I - oh, you are fresher. Anu - Yes. Anu - Should I call you sir? I - Why?? Anu - You are my senior,? I - so. Anu - so, you are my senior. I - Haha, it's OK. Call me Ravi. Anu - OK, Ravi sir. Ha ha. I - OK Anu Ma'am. Ha ha.

In next 15 min, we reached office.

I never enjoyed this daily route, cuz at 10:30 am in Bangalore, the traffic is terrific and it irritates you like hell. But today it's like, horns were like melody.

I come to my desk and started my laptop and started daily stuff. Suddenly got chat window pop up, hello Ravi sir ;). Yes, it was Anu. I looked back and she was smiling at her desk, I smiled back. I said Hi :). And closed the window. ‌ ‌I went for a meeting with my team lead and 4 other colleagues of mine. Agenda was to align three new joiners with each of us for shadowing and making them learn about the process. ‌And after three weeks there will be some quiz and the winner and their mentor will be awarded. ‌When the meeting finished, we all aligned with three new joiners and I was a bit sad, as Anu was aligned in a different team. ‌I came to my desk, open my laptop and again a window popped up with :(. It was Anu.

I replied - what?.

Anu - Nothing. I minimized the window, and continue with my daily tasks, ‌coffee or tea?? Anu asked. ‌Tea, I replied. Give me 5 min. ‌sure , she replied. [10 minutes later and we were in cafetaria] I - What will you have? Anu - Coffee I - And, anything to eat? Anu - Nothing. I had a tea for myself, and coffee for her. Anu - thankyou. I - It's ok, but tell me what happened? Anu - Can I be part of your team, I don't know other guys. [Girls, they spoke few things so straight forward, which a guy thinks n number of times before saying. I too want her to be on my team, but Its ok to resist that emotion.] I - you hardly know me. Anu - Yes, but I know you more than them. I don't know how they are, how they behave, And I don't know who Deepak is. I - Oh, don't worry. Deepak is very good friend of mine. I know him from last 10 years. He will guide you better than me, And I am sure you will say that one day. Anu - But still. App baat karo na. I - Not possible (refused) Anu - Why not possible? I - What should I say, Why I need you in my team? I - listen , this is just a three weeks program, after that everybody will be a team. Anu - Hmm, she left her coffee in between and went to her desk. "I was just watching her going, and thinking, she looks more beautiful when angry". I finished my tea and came to my desk. Till evening, Anu didn't contact me once. While going back, again we got the same cab and this time, and I can feel the killing silence in that air, she was enjoying some music, and moving her head like a DJ. I didn't find this time to discuss anything, so let it go, I though and just wave my hand for goodbye bye, when CAB dropped at my point.
